At the edge of the Forest is a rather odd sight. Amongst the undergrowth, under a canopy of ancient oaks there is rectangular space cleared. Along its edge, velvet ropes swing from metal pole to metal pole at waist height. Several rows of hard and uncomfortable chairs face a wooden post, upon which is nailed a sign that reads "Information Point." A suspicious machine hangs below it, its paper tongue reading "Number 1" with the promise of sequential numbers to follow.

The meaning of life is for the, ( I am ) or source, to experience all there is to experience and be happy at all cost. It does this through the 7 billion humans that all have individual conditioning making them unique.
All of us are born with an empty hard drive called a brain. We are programmed by repetition, and a smattering of our own points of view or personal experience.

If you notice, you cannot predict what your next thought will be, where do they come from? The awareness in you that watches these thoughts, and feels the different sensations in the body caused by thoughts and desires it is separate from the thing that observes this coming and going of experiences, sounds, smells, feelings etc. This thing is awareness, or (I am) This is the same I am that is in everyone, it is only your own brain which is programmed exclusively for you which believes that to be you. Everything takes place in your mind. If a car revs up 500 yards away, it doesn't actually take place 500 yards away, it takes place in your head, via your eyes and ears.

If you watch a movie on the TV it is all registered in your head, not inside the TV. Likewise, the awareness can be compared to the TV screen. You never see the TV screen when watching a movie, you watch what is on the screen, but the screen is still there and separate from the film. There is only the one film playing, but billions of TV's receiving the transmission.

We are all one my child, there is but one of, I am. The rest of creation doesn't have to ask. A tree does not have any problem in simply being a tree. It just is. It grows new leaves every spring, and sheds them again in the autumn without any prompting. Unless I'm mistaken, a tree doesn't have any brain, or the need to know the meaning of life. That's if there is any life, is there?

Have you ever spoken to a tree? For all you know it could be asking all sorts of esoteric and philosophical questions.

I have spoken to a tree, unfortunately, all I get is a vibration from it which doesn't translate into anything I can understand. Never the less it does vibrate with its own frequency which I am led to believe has health benefits to us all and is proven by science. I certainly believe that there is more to plants and animals than we know.  We are arrogant enough to assume that we are the most intelligent species on this planet but I have my doubts.  There is no doubt that we are the ultimate manipulators of tools and our environment but I don't think that makes us the smartest.  I find the study of our environment to be fascinating.  Thank you for that link, it is very interesting, though I am not sure I entirely believe everything that is said there, I am open to be persuaded .

I agree with you entirely Siren. I am also open to anything, and everything, I also believe that there is far more to plants trees, and animals than ever we give them credit for.

Incidentally. I have you on my friends list on RK I used to live in Lewes,Arundel, and lastly, Bristol. I was married to Arkie, or lady lilifeilds as she was known then. I was also a member of the Devon guard. It was a long time ago. can you help me remember anything?

I have learned in life to take nothing for granted and to engage with the world with a childlike curiosity.  It seems the more I learn, the more I realise how little I know.  The beginning of wisdom perhaps?
